SAT:- the full form of SAT Is the Scholastic Aptitude Test

Students applying for undergraduate admission to universities must take the SAT, a standardized test offered by the College Board. Previously known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, the Scholastic Assessment Test is sometimes referred to as the SAT.

SAT Exam Fees

SAT Cancellation Fees

Canceling your SAT Registration is an expensive affair, and students are always advised to go for a date change rather than cancelling the exam entirely.

Candidates should remember that Registrations cannot be refunded later than five days before test day, and candidates are only refunded $10 whether they have opted for SAT or the SAT along with Essay.

How to get a fee waiver for SAT?

Students in the 11th and 12th grades in the US or US territories are eligible for SAT Fee Waiver.

US citizens living outside the country can also waive their fees. However, students in grades 9 to 12 may qualify for a fee waiver for the SAT Subject Test.

SAT Score Validity Period

The SAT results are good for life! The College Board notes that the test result will be a less reliable indicator of the applicant’s academic success when it is included in the official SAT score that is provided to institutions after five years or longer.

 SAT exam structure was changed in 2016, many colleges do not accept SAT scores from the old Pattern. Technically, SAT scores are valid forever, which means they do not have a validity date or expiry date.

But many universities do not accept any SAT scores older than five years. If your SAT score is 5 years old you have to appear for the exam again.

Students can also order an additional copy of their scorecards for the purpose of sending it to more colleges but they have to pay a sum of $ 9 or INR 700 Approximately.

SAT Score Verification

The SAT Score Verification process is only a reevaluation of your test results to ensure that you got scores for all parts and that nothing was skipped. If you think that the SAT score you received is different that what you expected.

You may have missed and made a mistake in marking your answers. Another reason for a different score than expected can be your essay illegible or blank, When one views it online. Under SAT Score verification you have these below-mentioned three options:-

You can proceed with a request within 5 months after the test day filling in SAT score verification form. Before proceeding further, it is advised to read the instructions carefully given on the form. Additionally, a charge for score verification must be paid.

This score verification charge will be waived for students who qualify for a fee exemption. Following payment of the verification fee and submission of your form, you will get a letter containing the updated and verified results in five weeks.

The verification fee will be returned if the post-verification SAT scores change as a result of an error in the scoring or scanning process.

SAT Score Cancellation

For any reason, you need to cancel your SAT score, here are two methods mentioned below through that you can cancel your SAT Score:

  1. At the test Center: if you are unsure about how the test went, or if you feel like you have missed a number of questions, you can cancel your test right then and there. At the test centre, you can ask the supervisor for a request to cancel the test score “form.”

Fill in all the details along with your signature. Submit the form to the supervisor. Make sure you submit this before leaving the test centre.

  1. At home:  If your poor performance hits you after you leave the test centre. You can cancel your test at home as well. However, there is a time limit to it. You need to submit your cancellation request by writing to the college board as quickly as you can because the deadline for receiving the such request will be 11:59 PM (IST) on a Wednesday after the test date. You need to download “ request to Cancel test scores” from the college board website, Fill in your details log in to it and fax it or speed post or courier it overnight.

The score for SAT exam is evaluated out of 2400 (from 600 to 2400). Subject-wise score range from 200 to 800, Where 200 is the minimum and 800 is the maximum score.
